Our Mission
Indigenous ministries are more effective in . . .
Indigenous ministry & missionary workers . . .
share the native language and culture of those they are ministering to. This makes them more effective and less threatening. Many areas of the world consider Christianity a Western religion and it is much more effective for them to hear the Gospel message from one of their own. Also, the cost of training and supporting local missionaries is a fraction of the cost of supporting those coming in from the outside.
Third World and developing nations are . . .
caring for their orphans, widows, poor, and those caught up in slavery and prostitution. Their needs are great. Famine, war, epidemics, lack of clean water and natural disasters claim thousands of lives daily. Local missionaries and ministry workers are already on the ground ready to provide life-giving support to those in need. Certainly, when disaster strikes or an overwhelming need arises, outside support is greatly needed. However, when the dust has cleared and outside help has moved on, it is the local church that will remain to continue to care for the people and help them to rebuild their lives.
